COLUMBIA, Maryland—Kocide LLC has completed its acquisition of a state-of-the-art copper fungicide production facility in Houston, Texas from E.I. Du Pont de Nemours and Company (“DuPont”). The acquisition of the facility began December 1, 2014 when Mitsui & Co., Ltd (“Mitsui”) acquired DuPont’s Kocide® and ManKocide® copper fungicide assets for Kocide LLC, Mitsui’s wholly owned subsidiary, to manage the assets.

Certis USA To Distribute Kocide® 2000, Kocide® 3000 and ManKocide® to U.S. Specialty Agriculture Markets

COLUMBIA, MD—January 28, 2015—The copper fungicides Kocide® 2000, Kocide® 3000 and ManKocide® are now available to growers in the U.S. exclusively from Certis USA. These Kocide products from DuPont were recently acquired by Kocide LLC, a newly established wholly owned subsidiary of Japan-based Mitsui & Co. and a sister company to Certis USA.

Certis Europe to distribute Kocide

Certis Europe’s parent company, Mitsui & Co., Ltd. reached agreement with E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company ("DuPont") on 19 August to acquire its global Kocide® and ManKocide® copper fungicide business assets. Following the closing on 1 December, Certis Europe will take on the distribution of the Kocide® and ManKocide® brands in its European territories.

Kocide® copper fungicides are important fungal and bacterial disease management tools and are registered for use in more than 75 countries globally and in all major regions of the world. The most important crops for copper fungicides are grapes, citrus, olives, vegetables and fruits.
